Answers to common questions about Scoop.
What is Scoop?
Scoop is a trust platform built to help people understand who they're interacting with online. By aggregating your connected social accounts into one profile, Scoop helps users verify they're talking to an account-verified user. Account-verified users leave rich digital footprints; bots and scammers usually do not.
How is Scoop available?
Scoop is available on the App Store for iOS. Download it at apps.apple.com/us/app/scoopsocialstechllc/id6777167855.
What is a Trust Score?
Your Trust Score (0–100) reflects signals such as verified social account connections, reviews you've received, community activity, and connections with other users. Higher scores generally indicate a more established profile on Scoop.
Which social accounts can I verify?
You can currently verify Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, Snapchat, and Twitch through secure sign-in. Each verified connection helps confirm that the account belongs to you. More platforms are coming as integrations are approved.
How do I improve my Trust Score?
Connect your verified social accounts, get reviews from people you know, stay active on the platform, and build your network. Your profile shows what's contributing to your score.
Who can write reviews about me?
Personal profiles: people you are mutually connected with. Business profiles: anyone with an active follow of the business. Event and journey reviews can also come from people who attended that event or journey. Reviews are first-hand accounts and contribute to your Trust Score. You cannot delete a review yourself; you can flag it for moderation, and premium subjects can narrow who sees it on their profile.
Can I remove a review about me?
You cannot remove reviews yourself, but you can flag reviews that violate our community guidelines. Our moderation team reviews all flags and removes content that is fake, malicious, or violates our Terms of Service.
How do connections work?
Scoop has a two-tier model. Anyone can follow your public profile. Certain content is only visible to your accepted connections, depending on your privacy settings and the feature involved.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account in the app. Type DELETE to confirm. In-app deletion disables your account immediately and starts the deletion process; associated data is removed within 30 days, subject to legal retention obligations. If you request deletion by email ([email protected], subject: "Delete My Account"), it is processed within 30 days. Reviews other users wrote about you remain on the platform with your identifying link removed.
How do I change the email on my account?
Contact email (RSVPs, reminders) is self-serve in the app: Settings → Account → Contact email. That does not change how you sign in. Login email is not self-serve. If you created the account with email and password and need the login address moved, use the form on this page. We verify it is you using the phone number already on the account. After a login-email update you will be signed out and must sign in with the new address and your password. If you sign in with Apple or Google, that provider owns the login email — we cannot move the account to a different login address. If the account is moving to a different person (for example a business changed owners), that is not an email change — contact support and say so.
How do I contact support?
Use the form on this page, or email [email protected]. We aim to respond within 1–2 business days.
What happens when I redeem an offer?
Staff scans or types your code at the venue. The venue sees that the offer was used, not your name. Analytics shows counts, not a named list. Unredeemed offers they cancel stop working; already-redeemed stays in the counts.
